Dr. Jan Suchanek is the founder and owner of Midtown Animal Hospital.

Dr. Suchanek was born in Czechoslovakia, studied veterinary medicine in Italy, and frequented post graduate studies at the Animal Medical Center. Upon graduating, he began practicing veterinary medicine in Stamford, Connecticut. He established Midtown Animal Hospital in 1989 after realizing the need for a neighborhood veterinarian in the East Midtown area of Manhattan. He lives with his wife and dachshund, Chloe.

Dr. Jen Trujillo is a part time associate at Midtown Animal Hospital. After graduating college with a degree in Chemistry, she worked on drug development for GlaxoSmithKline in North Carolina. During this time, she was the regional coordinator for the National Rat Terrier Rescue. After four years in the corporate world, she decided to attend veterinary school at North Carolina State University. While in veterinary school, Dr. Trujillo pursued her interests in the research field of immunology. Dr. Trujillo, her husband, and her daughter Adriana live in New Jersey with their Rat Terrier, Sassafras, and their Scottish Fold, Fitzgerald.
